Delaware UBE Score Transfer Requirements

Delaware does not currently accept transferred Legacy or NextGen UBE scores for admission. Delaware has adopted the NextGen UBE and plans to administer it for the first time in February 2028.

Does Delaware have bar reciprocity with other states?

No. Delaware does not offer general reciprocity or admission on motion to attorneys licensed in other jurisdictions.

Can an out-of-state attorney waive into the Delaware Bar?

No. Attorneys cannot obtain full Delaware admission simply based on licensure or practice in another state. They must generally satisfy Delaware’s examination and other admission requirements.

Does Delaware accept transferred UBE scores?

Delaware does not accept transferred Legacy UBE scores. Delaware will first administer the NextGen UBE in February 2028, while its policy for transferred NextGen scores is still TBA.
