Can I transfer my UBE score to Idaho?

Yes. Idaho accepts qualifying Legacy UBE scores of at least 266 and NextGen UBE scores of at least 616. A transferred score generally cannot be more than 37 months old.

Can I waive into the Idaho Bar?

Yes. Qualified attorneys may be admitted to the Idaho Bar without taking the Idaho bar examination if they have been substantially engaged in the active practice of law for at least 3 of the past 5 years and meet Idaho’s other requirements.

Does Idaho require reciprocity for admission on motion?

No. Idaho removed its reciprocity requirement effective March 1, 2024. Qualified experienced attorneys from any U.S. jurisdiction may apply for admission based on practice experience.
