ClioCon 2026 Conference in Boston

ClioCon 2026 Conference in Boston

When: October 26–27, 2026 | Where: Hynes Convention Center, Boston, MA

ClioCon 2026 is a two-day event built for legal professionals who want to run better firms, hosted by Clio at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. This year's program carries the theme "Go Beyond Limits" and focuses on legal technology, AI adoption, and the business side of running a practice. Keynote speakers include Malcolm Gladwell, Ethan Mollick, and Clio CEO Jack Newton.

Legal Soft will attend ClioCon 2026 in Boston. Visit our booth to learn how virtual staffing can support law firms with client intake, case file management, and billing support.

About ClioCon

ClioCon is designed for attorneys, firm owners, practice administrators, and paralegals who want to strengthen how their firms operate. The 2026 conference returns to Boston after last year's event in the same city. Its focus stays on operations rather than case law, with sessions on pricing, profitability, staffing, AI policy, and marketing. That makes it unusual among legal conferences.

ClioCon also includes structured programming across two full days, with keynotes, breakout sessions, an exhibit hall, and evening networking events.

Sessions and Content

The 2026 program runs 10 content tracks and 8 industry workshops, with more than 90 legal technology vendors in the exhibit hall. Sessions are grouped by track, so attendees can build a schedule around their firm size and role. Ethan Mollick, author of Co-Intelligence, is scheduled to use AI live on stage. Other sessions cover what early adopters learned and how firms should set rules for AI use.

Sessions cover the full arc of running a modern practice, including:

Pricing, profitability, and firm KPIs Legal marketing and client acquisition AI adoption, automation, and legal tech stacks Cybersecurity and data protection Client experience and communication Leadership and building high-performing teams Operations and finance for solo and small firms Scaling and technology adoption at mid-to-large firms Clio product workflows for newer and advanced users

Attorneys attending in person may earn up to 6 CLE or CPD hours. Clio partners with the ABA to seek eligibility for lawyers licensed in the United States and Canada. Eligible sessions are marked on the published agenda. Approval varies by state, so confirm your own on the official ClioCon CLE page before relying on the credit.

Pre-Conference Events

Two programs run on October 25, the day before the main conference begins. Both take place at the Hynes Convention Center, and both require a ClioCon pass.

  • Clio Academic Summit: A half-day program from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Room 312, built for law school faculty, librarians, and clinicians. The format is facilitated roundtables rather than lectures. Each table's discussion is written up into a summary report participants take back to their institution. The Summit requires a paid add-on.
  • Partner Impact Summit: A program for Clio channel partners, running 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m.

Early registration and check-in are open from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on October 25. It is worth using if you would rather not queue on Monday morning.

What You'll Get Out of It

Over two days, attendees can earn CLE credit, explore practical ways to improve how their firm operates, and see what is changing across the legal technology market.

  • Earn up to 6 CLE or CPD hours for in-person attendance, pending state approval.
  • Learn practical approaches to AI adoption, firm policies, and lessons from early adopters.
  • Explore 90+ legal technology vendors in one exhibit hall.
  • Choose content tailored to your firm size instead of one-size-fits-all advice.
  • Get hands-on support and product previews at the Clio Success Center and Clio Product Lab.
  • Join 20+ curated networking sessions throughout the two-day event.
  • Attend evening events, including Clio After Dark and The Wrap Party at Big Night Live.

A Note for Law Firms: Making New Tools Actually Work

You may leave a conference like this with a clear plan for what your firm should adopt next. New intake software, a document automation tool, a research platform that finally does what the demo promised. The problem usually arrives a few weeks later. The tools need someone to configure them, feed them, and check what they produce, and the only people who could do that are already carrying a full caseload.

One of the quieter challenges firms face is that technology adoption stalls for staffing reasons far more often than technical ones. The software works. Nobody has the hours to turn it on properly.

Legal Soft helps law firms run more efficiently with the right support and systems. We provide virtual legal professionals, including paralegals, legal assistants, and remote intake specialists. They are trained to work inside the case management system your firm already uses, including Clio, MyCase, and PracticePanther. They can support your firm with tasks such as:

Client intake and lead response, including after-hours inquiries Document preparation and case file organization Billing support, time entry, and invoice follow-up Calendar management and deadline tracking Client status updates and routine communication CRM data entry and marketing support

Whatever you would assign to someone in your office, they can handle remotely. That means the tools you invested in actually get used, while your attorneys stay focused on casework. For more on how these roles are structured, see our guide to virtual staffing for law firms. If paralegal support is what your firm needs most, read more on our virtual paralegal services.
